Amigurumi Crochet BULL Free Pattern

Bull amigurumi crochet free pattern is one of the Chinese horoscope free crochet patterns.

Materials.

The size of the toy is approx. 6 inches (15 cm) tall if made with indicated materials.

  • DK weight yarn in 3 colors - brown, beige, and black (for example, I used Yarn and Colors Must-Have yarn, 50 g 125 m, in colors 025 Brownie, 003 Ecru, 009 Antracite)
  • crochet hook 2,5 mm
  • stuffing
  • yarn needle
  • scissors
  • safety eyes 8 mm

Of course, you can choose other kinds of yarns, just know that the size of the toy may vary if you choose another weight of yarn and crochet hook number.


Terms and stitches.

The pattern is written in English, using US terminology.
ch - chain
sl st - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
inc - increase
dec - (invisible) decrease
BLO - back loops only


Let's start from the head and body.

Crochet with brown yarn.
They crocheted as one detail. Start at the top of the head

RND 1: Ch 3 /pic.1/, 1 sc in second ch from a hook /pic.2-4/, 3 sc in next st /pic.5/continue on the other side of foundation chains, 2 sc in next st /pic.6-7/ [6]



RND 2: 1 inc, 1 sc, 2 inc, 1 sc, 1 inc [10] /pic.8-9/
RND 3: (1 inc, 4 sc) * repeat 2 times [12] /pic.10-11/

RND 4: (1 sc, 1 inc) * 6 times [18] /pic.12/
RND 5: (2 sc, 1 inc) * 6 times [24] /pic.13/
RND 6: (3 sc, 1 inc) * 6 times [30]
RND 7: (4 sc, 1 inc) * 6 times [36]

If you use the safety eyes put them now between rounds 14 and 15. Place the right eye between 35 and 36 stitches of the 14 round, and the left eye between 40 and 41 stitches of 14 round. /pic.19-20/

RND 22: (3 sc, 1 dec) * 6 times [24]

Start to stuff the head. /pic.21/

RND 23: (2 sc, 1 dec) * 6 times [18]

RND 25: (1 inc, 8 sc) * 2 times [20]
RND 26: (1 sc, 1 inc, 8 sc) * 2 times [22]

Stuff the head to the end. /pic.22-23/

RND 27: (2 sc, 1 inc, 8 sc) * 2 times [24]
RND 28: (3 sc, 1 inc, 8 sc) * 2 times [26]
RND 29: (4 sc, 1 inc, 8 sc) * 2 times [28]

First leg. 

RND 1: 18 sc, skip next 18 st [18]
RND 2start in the first stitch of the previous round /pic.26-27/, 18 sc [18] /pic.28/


RND 3: (1 dec, 7 sc) * 2 times [16]
RND 4: 16 sc [16]
RND 5: (1 dec, 6 sc) * 2 times [14]
RND 6: 14 sc [14]
RND 7: (1 dec, 5 sc) * 2 times [12]
RND 8: 6 dec [6]
RND 9: 6 sc [6] /pic.29/

Change yarn to black.

RND 10: (1 sc, 1 inc) * 3 times [9] /pic.30/

RND 11: (2 sc, 1 inc) * 3 times [12]
RND 12: 12 sc [12]

RND 13BLO /pic.32/ 6 dec. /pic.33/

Fasten off, leaving a tail approx. 6 inches (15 cm). /pic.34/

Stuff the body and brown part of the leg.
Stuff the black part of the leg. /pic.35/


With a yarn needle, insert the tail of the yarn through the front loops of all stitches of the last round /pic.36/. Pull all together at once. /pic.37/

Insert the needle into the leg and pull it out as shown in /pic.38-40/. Pull tightly. Then cover the leg with yarn and insert the needle and pull it out in the same places where you did that in the previous step /pic.41-42/. Pull tightly. Fasten off, weave in the yarn end. /pic.43-44/


Second leg. 

Start crochet with brown yarn.
Start crochet in the first skipped stitch in Rnd 1 of the first leg. /pic.45-46/

RND 1: 18 sc [18]
RND 2start in the first stitch of the previous round /pic.47/, 18 sc [18]

RND 3: (1 dec, 7 sc) * 2 times [16]
RND 4: 16 sc [16]
RND 5: (1 dec, 6 sc) * 2 times [14]
RND 6: 14 sc [14]
RND 7: (1 dec, 5 sc) * 2 times [12] /pic.48/

RND 8: 6 dec [6]
RND 9: 6 sc [6]

Stuff the brown part of the leg.
Change yarn to black.

RND 10: (1 sc, 1 inc) * 3 times [9]
RND 11: (2 sc, 1 inc) * 3 times [12]
RND 12: 12 sc [12]
RND 13BLO 6 dec.

Fasten off, leaving a tail approx. 6 inches (15 cm). 
Stuff the black part of the leg.

With a yarn needle, insert the tail of the yarn through the front loops of all stitches of the last round. Pull all together at once.

Insert the needle into the leg and pull it out on the border of colors (like you did for the first leg /pic.38-43/). Pull tightly. Then cover the leg with yarn and insert the needle and pull it out in the same places where you did that in the previous step. Pull tightly. Fasten off, weave in the yarn end. /pic.49/


Sew up the hole between legs. /pic.50-51/

Nose patch. 

Crochet with beige yarn.

RND 1: 9 ch /pic.52/, 1 sc in second ch from a hook /pic.53/, 6 sc, 3 sc in next st, continue crochet on the other side of foundation chains /pic.54/, 6 sc, 2 sc in next st [18] /pic.55/

RND 2: 1 inc, 7 sc, 1 inc, stop to crochet, it will be the end of this round [20] /pic.56/

RND 3BLO 20 sc [20] /pic.57/

RND 4: 20 sc [20] /pic.58/

Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing.


Horns. 

Make 2.
Crochet with beige yarn.

RND 1: 2 ch /pic.59/, 4 sc in second ch from a hook [4] /pic.60/


RND 2: 4 sc [4] /pic.61/

RND 3: 1 inc, 3 sc [5]
RND 4: 5 sc [5]
RND 5: 1 inc, 4 sc [6]
RND 6: 6 sc [6]
RND 7: 1 inc, 5 sc [7]
RND 8: 7 sc [7]
RND 9: 1 inc, 6 sc [8]
RND 10: 8 sc [8]
RND 11: 1 inc, 7 sc [9]

Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing.
Stuff the horn.

Belly patch. 

Crochet with beige yarn.

7 ch /pic.65/, 1 sc in second ch from a hook, 4 sc, 3 sc in next st, continue crochet on the other side of foundation chains /pic.66/, 4 sc, 2 sc in next st [14] /pic.67/

Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing.


Hair. 

Crochet with brown yarn.
For the hair, we will be branching off in chains to create hair strands.

STRAND 1-24: Make 11 ch /pic.68/, 1 sl st in second ch from a hook /pic.69/, 9 sl st /pic.70/don't fasten off, continue with the chains to make the next strand /pic.71-75/

In total, make 24 strands. After that, fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing.

Arms. 

Make 2.
Start crochet with brown yarn.

RND 1: 2 ch, 6 sc in second ch from a hook [6] /pic.76/
RND 2-12: 6 sc [6] -- 11 rounds /pic.77/
Change yarn to black.
RND 13: (1 sc, 1 inc) * 3 times [9]
RND 14: 9 sc [9]
RND 15BLO (1 sc, 1 dec) * 3 times [6]

Fasten off, leaving a tail approx. 6 inches (15 cm). 
The arms do not need to be stuffed.

With a yarn needle, insert the tail of the yarn through the front loops of all stitches of the last round. Pull all together at once.

Insert the needle into the arm and pull it out on the border of colors (like you did for the legs /pic.38-43/. Pull tightly. Then cover the arm with yarn and insert the needle and pull it out in the same places where you did that in the previous step. Pull tightly. Fasten off, weave in the yarn end. /pic.78-79/


Ears. 

Make 2.
Crochet with brown yarn.

RND 1: 2 ch, 5 sc in second ch from a hook [5]
RND 2: 5 inc [10]
RND 3-6: 10 sc [10] /pic.80/

Fold the circle to a semicircle. Make 2 sc through both layers. /pic.81-82/
Fasten off, leave a tail for sewing.

Tail. 

Crochet with brown yarn.

RND 1: 2 ch, 6 sc in second ch from a hook [6]
RND 2-13: 6 sc [6] -- 12 rounds /pic.85/

Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing.
The tail does not need to be stuffed.


Assembly. 

Sew the belly patch. /pic.86/

Sew the tail. /pic.87/

Sew the arms. /pic.88/


Sew the horns between rounds 6 and 9 of the head. /pic.89-91/

Embroider the stripes on the ears with beige yarn /pic.92/. Then sew them under the horns. /pic.93/

Sew the hair as shown on /pic.94-95/

Sew the nose patch and stuff them in the process of sewing /pic.96-97/. Then embroider the stripes on the patch with black yarn. /pic.98/

  1. I love your pattern for the Bull. But if it is free where is the print button. I don't mind the ads. You can't even copy and then print. I really don't want to pay for a pattern if it is supposed to be free.
