Crochet teddy bear FREE PATTERN

For crocheting this little teddy bear you will need:
- sport weight yarn in beige, brown and bright (for example yellow or red) colors;
- crochet hook 2.5 mm;
- fiberfill for stuffing;
- scissors, sewing needle;
- eyes.

Abbreviation:
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
inc - increase
dec - decrease
FLO - front loops only
BLO - back loops only
sl st - slip stitch
[number] - a number of stitches in the round

Head.
Crochet with beige yarn.
Rnd 1: Ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook [6]




Rnd 2: inc in all 6 st [12]


Rnd 3: (sc in next st, inc in next st) * repeat 6 times [18]
Rnd 4: (sc in next 2 st, inc in next st) * repeat 6 times [24]
Rnd 5: (sc in next 3 st, inc in next st) * repeat 6 times [30]
Rnd 6: (sc in next 4 st, inc in next st) * repeat 6 times [36]
Rnd 7: (sc in next 5 st, inc in next st) * repeat 6 times [42]
Rnd 8-13: sc in all 42 st [42] - 6 rounds

Rnd 14: (sc in next 5 st, dec) * repeat 6 times [36]
Rnd 15: (sc in next 4 st, dec) * repeat 6 times [30]
Rnd 16: (sc in next 3 st, dec) * repeat 6 times [24]
Stuff the head with fiberfill.



Rnd 17: (sc in next 2 st, dec) * repeat 6 times [18]
Rnd 18: (sc in next st, dec) * repeat 6 times [12]
Rnd 19: dec 6 times [6]
Fasten off and weave in the yarn end.



Body.
Start in beige yarn.

Change to bright yarn.

Rnd 11: BLO (of rnd 9) sc in all 36 st [36]
Rnd 12: (into both loops of rnd 11) sc in all 36 st [36]






Rnd 13-15: sc in all 36 st [36] - 3 rounds



Rnd 16:  (sc in next 4 st, dec) * repeat 6 times [30]
Rnd 17: sc in all 30 st [30]
Rnd 18: (sc in next 3 st, dec) * repeat 6 times [24]
Rnd 19: sc in all 24 st [24]
Stuff the body with fiberfill.





Rnd 20: (sc in next 2 st, dec) * repeat 6 times [18]
Rnd 21: (sc in next st, dec) * repeat 6 times [12]
Rnd 22: dec 6 times [6]
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.


Arms, make 2.
Start in beige yarn.
Rnd 1: Ch 2, 5 sc in second ch from hook [5]
Rnd 2: inc in all 5 st [10]
Rnd 3-4: sc in all 10 st [10] - 2 rounds
Change to bright yarn.
Rnd 5-12: sc in all 10 st [10] - 8 rounds
The arms do not need to be stuffed.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.




Legs, make 2.
Crochet with beige yarn.
Rnd 1: Ch 2, 5 sc in second ch from hook [5]
Rnd 2: inc in all 5 st [10]
Rnd 3-5: sc in all 10 st [10] - 3 rounds
The legs do not need to be stuffed.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.



Ears, make 2.
Crochet with beige yarn.
Rnd 1: Ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook [6]
Rnd 2: inc in all 6 st [12]
Rnd 3-4: sc in all 12 st [12] - 2 rounds
The ears do not need to be stuffed.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.


Assembly.
- sew the ears to the head;
- sew the body to the head;
- sew the arms to the body;
- sew the legs to the body;



- crochet a collar with yellow yarn:
Row 1: Ch 5, start in the second ch from hook, sc in next 4 ch. Ch 1, turn the detail.
Row 2 and all next for needed length of collar: BLO sc in all 4 st, Ch 1, turn the detail.
Wrap the collar around the neck, insert hook through loops of the first row and last row, make sc in all 4 st, Fasten off and weave in the yarn end.






- embroider the nose with brown yarn;
- glue the eyes to the head.





The bear is ready!
