Crochet Llama Alpaca FREE PATTERN

The pattern is written in English, using US terminology.

MATERIALS:
FLUFFY YARN You can use any kind of fluffy yarn but it must be according with crochet hook 2.5 mm.
For example, Yarn Art Mink (crochet in 1 thread), Rico Design Baby teddy aran (crochet in 2 thread), Scheepjes Softy (crochet in 2 thread), Alize Softy (crochet in 2 thread).
yarn for leg and face, it must be according with crochet hook 2.5 mm.
For example, Rico Design Creative Cotton DK, Yarn and Colors Must-Have, Scheepjes Catona, Gazzal Organic Baby Cotton.
yarn for a scarf, it must be according with crochet hook 2.5 mm.
For example, BBB New Master, Mondial BiolanaFine.
crochet hook 2.5 mm.
safety eyes 10 mm.
stuffing.
stitch markers, scissors, needle.








ABBREVIATION:
ch - chain
st - stitch
sc - single crochet
inc - increase
dec - decrease
BLO - back loops only



1. HEAD

Start crochet with smooth yarn.
RND 1: Ch 2 (pic.1), 6 sc in second ch from a hook (pic.2-3) [6]
RND 2: inc in all 6 st [12]
RND 3: (sc in next st, inc in next st) * repeat 6 times (pic.4) [18]
RND 4-7: sc in next 18 st [18] - 4 rounds (pic.5)
RND 8: inc in next 6 st, sc in next 12 st (pic.6) [24]
RND 9: (sc in next st, inc in next st) * repeat 6 times, sc in next 12 st (pic.7) [30]
RND 10-11: sc in next 30 st [30] - 2 rounds (pic.8)
Change to the fluffy yarn (pic.9)
RND 12: (sc in next 4 st, inc in next st) * repeat 6 times [36]
Put the safety eyes between Rnd 9 and 10 (pic.14-15)


RND 13: (sc in next 5 st, inc in next st) * repeat 6 times [42]
RND 14: (sc in next 6 st, inc in next st) * repeat 6 times [48]
RND 15-19: sc in next 48 st [48] - 5 rounds
Stuff the head and continue stuffing as you go.
RND 20: (sc in next 6 st, dec) * repeat 6 times [42]
RND 21: (sc in next 5 st, dec) * repeat 6 times [36]
RND 22: (sc in next 4 st, dec) * repeat 6 times [30]
RND 23: (sc in next 3 st, dec) * repeat 6 times [24]
RND 22: (sc in next 2 st, dec) * repeat 6 times [18]
RND 23: (sc in next st, dec) * repeat 6 times [12]
RND 24: dec 6 times [6]. Fasten off and weave in the yarn end.

2. EARS
Make 2.

Crochet with smooth yarn.
RND 1: Ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from a hook [6]
RND 2: (sc in next 2 st, inc in next st) * repeat 2 times [8]
RND 3: (sc in next 3 st, inc in next st) * repeat 2 times [10]
RND 4: (sc in next 4 st, inc in next st) * repeat 2 times [12]
RND 5: (sc in next 5 st, inc in next st) * repeat 2 times [14]
RND 6: (sc in next 6 st, inc in next st) * repeat 2 times [16]
RND 7: (sc in next 7 st, inc in next st) * repeat 2 times [18]
RND 8: (sc in next 8 st, inc in next st) * repeat 2 times [20]
RND 9-12: sc in next 20 st [20] - 4 rounds
The ears do not need to be stuffed.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Sew the ears to the head (pic.20-22)








3. BODY

Crochet with fluffy yarn.

RND 2: inc in all 6 st [12]
RND 3: (sc in next st, inc in next st) * repeat 6 times [18]
RND 4: (sc in next 2 st, inc in next st) * repeat 6 times [24]
RND 5: (sc in next 3 st, inc in next st) * repeat 6 times [30]
RND 6: sc in next 30 st [30]
RND 7: (sc in next 4 st, inc in next st) * repeat 6 times [36]
RND 8-22: sc in next 16 st [36] - 15 rounds
RND 23: (sc in next 4 st, dec) * repeat 6 times [30]
RND 24: sc in next 30 st [30]
Stuff the body and continue stuffing as you go.
RND 25: (sc in next 3 st, dec) * repeat 6 times [24]
RND 26: (sc in next 2 st, dec) * repeat 6 times [18]
RND 27: (sc in next st, dec) * repeat 6 times [12]
RND 28: dec 6 times [6]. Fasten off and weave in the yarn end.



4. NECK

Crochet with fluffy yarn.
Ch 25.
Start crochet in the first ch and work in rounds.

RND 1: sc in all 25 ch [25]
RND 2-5: sc in next 25 st [25] - 4 rounds (pic.25)
RND 6: sc in next 23 st, dec [24]
RND 7-8: sc in next 24 st [24] - 2 rounds (pic.26)
Work in rows.
ROW 9: Ch 1, turn the detail (pic.27), sc in next 12 st (pic.28)
ROW 10: Ch 1, turn the detail (pic.29), sc in next 12 st
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Sew the neck to the head. (pic.32-33)
Stuff the neck. (pic.34)
Sew the body to the neck. (pic.36-37)








5. LEGS
Make 4.
Crochet with smooth yarn.
RND 1: Ch 2, 6 sc in the second chain from a hook [6]
RND 2: sc in next 6 st [6]
RND 3: (sc in next st, inc in next st) * repeat 3 times [9]
RND 4: (sc in next 2 st, inc in next st) * repeat 3 times [12]
RND 5-19: sc in next 12 st [12] - 15 rounds
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Stuff the legs.
Sew legs to the body (pic.39).



6. TAIL

Crochet with smooth yarn.
RND 1: Ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from a hook [4]
RND 2: sc in next 3 st, inc in next st [5]
RND 3: sc in next 4 st, inc in next st [6]
RND 4: sc in next 5 st, inc in next st [7]
RND 5: sc in next 6 st, inc in next st [8]
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
The tail does not need to be stuffed.
Sew the tail to the body (pic.39).

7. SCARF
Ch 130 (pic.40).
Start crochet in the second ch from a hook.
Crochet in rows.

ROW 1: sc in next 129 st (pic.41). Ch 1, turn the detail (pic.42-43)
ROW 2-5: BLO (pic.44-45) sc in next 129 st. Ch 1, turn the detail - 4 rounds
ROW 6: BLO sc in next 129 st. Fasten off, weave in the yarn ends.

Make 2 little pom poms and sew them to the scarf.
